Prignitz-Museum, Havelberg

Prignitz-Museum Havelberg

The Prignitz Museum is located in the historical chambers of the cathedral's monastery in Havelberg near the ''romantic road''.
The name originates from the Brandenburg landscape of Prignitz, from where many of the exhibition pieces, especially those concerning pre and early history,  came from.
Since 1904, the museum has followed the self imposed task of preserving items of historical value and thereby promoting the public interest in history.
The museum is also to be recommended for visitors of the Prignitz area, as it gives interesting insights into the region and its development.
The museum offers exhibitions on pre and early history of the region, dioceses and towns, but also takes a closer look at religious art and the construction of the cathedral.
The extensive exhibitions are complemented by various interactive features and changing history and art exhibitions.
