The National Technical  Museum fits perfectly into Prague’s unique historical atmosphere. Since it was founded in 1908 it has established itself as one of the leading institutions of its kind in Europe.
Not only technology-freaks will marvel at the exhibitions showing the advance of technology through the centuries and the value of technology for the society.
The museum therefore contributes to understanding modern civilisation and also preserves historical examples of technological advance for future generations.
The museum homes eight permanent exhibitions, amongst which are timekeeping technology, infrastructure (trains, historical cars and aeroplanes), photography and film, astronomy and telecommunications.
Changing exhibitions, publications and scientific research also have a long tradition and confirm the national and international importance of the National Technical Museum.
