Museum Train Geesthacht

The discovery of slowness-  discover a beautiful region unhurriedly, without having to pedal yourself- the Geesthach museum train makes this possible.
The journey starts in the pleasantly restored train station Bergedorf-Süd and takes its course through the picturesque landscape to Geesthacht. To the right and left of the track there is much to see: wide meadows, romantic valleys, moors, old villages, but also modern housing areas and gardens.
Keeping with traditional railway the museum train is pulled by original steam locomotives which were given a general overhaul.
Since 2003 some of the many different train carriages have been under preservation order, which highlights the historical importance of the Geesthach museum train.
