''Experience nature at the Elbe'' is the motto of the Elbe Castle which was opened for visitors in 2002. The motto is not just empty words: On more than 1.000 square kilometres visitors get a deep insight into the beautiful and exciting river scape of the Elbe. The emphasis lies on the dynamic river, its lively wildlife and the interaction of humans with the Elbe valley.
In the idyllic castle court cultural events take place regularly.
The musical spring with jazz and classical music is especially enthralling, but many other events such as concerts and readings are to be enjoyed in the comfortable atmosphere.
In Bleckede it has been achieved to create an exhibition, which is very modern and professional.  By conveying ecological connections it promotes understanding and sustainability in this very special environment.
